Avoca Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP), located in Avoca, Pennsylvania, is a public airport and the main airport serving Northeastern Pennsylvania. It is owned and operated by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport Authority.

The airport was originally established in the 1920s as an airfield for the U.S. Army Air Corps. It was later used as a civil airport and was named Avoca Airport. The airport was renamed Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport in 1978 in honor of the cities of Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, which are the two largest cities in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The airport code AVP was assigned by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and stands for Avoca Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

The airport has two runways, one of which is 7,000 feet long and the other is 4,000 feet long. The airport offers a range of services, including air cargo, air charter, and aviation services.





The airport has roughly 35 daily scheduled flights to 11 destinations, with the majority of these flights being operated by American Airlines and United Airlines. Other airlines that serve the airport include Air Canada, Delta, JetBlue, and Southwest Airlines.
