Emirates SkyCargo is a division of the Dubai-based Emirates Group, and is the cargo division of the world's largest airline, Emirates Airline. In 1995, Emirates SkyCargo launched its first dedicated freighter services, with the launch of its first Boeing 747F. This marked the beginning of a long-term partnership between Emirates SkyCargo and Boeing, which saw the airline grow its fleet to include a variety of Airbus and Boeing models. In 1997, Emirates SkyCargo began operating its first long-haul freighter, the Airbus A300-600F, allowing the airline to expand its reach to destinations around the world.

In 2004, Emirates SkyCargo launched its first dedicated cargo hub, located at Dubai International Airport. Since then, the airline has invested heavily in the facility, expanding it to become the largest dedicated cargo hub in the world. As of 2021, Emirates SkyCargo operates more than 35 dedicated cargo flights daily from the hub, connecting more than 130 destinations around the world.

Throughout its history, Emirates SkyCargo has achieved many milestones, including the launch of its first dedicated freighter service, the launch of its first long-haul freighter, and the launch of its first dedicated cargo hub. In addition, Emirates SkyCargo has experienced a number of incidents over the years, including a crash in 1996, when an Airbus A300-600F crashed in the United Arab Emirates, killing all three crew members on board. The crash was later determined to have been caused by a structural failure in the plane's left wing.
