Throughout its history, Cygnus Air has made several major milestones. In 2002, the airline established a hub in Manchester, England, making it one of the first airlines to do so. In 2009, Cygnus Air became the first airline in the world to offer direct flights between the United Kingdom and China. The airline also became the first European carrier to launch flights to South America in 2012.

In 2013, Cygnus Air was the first carrier to offer live in-flight entertainment on all of its flights.
