Jundiaí Airport, located in Jundiaí, Brazil, is a small general aviation airport that serves the region of São Paulo. It was first opened in May 1974 as a private airport, but was later taken over by the Jundiaí city government in 1977 and officially inaugurated as a public facility in 1980. As of 2020, the airport is open to both private and commercial aviation and operates mainly as a hub for charter flights and recreational flights.

The airport was originally named Aeroclube de Jundiaí, which translates to “Jundiaí Air Club”, in reference to the city’s long history of aviation activities. The airport code QDV was assigned to the facility by the Brazilian Aeronautical Authority (ANAC) in 1995. The code is derived from the city’s name, as “Q” is the first letter of the city’s name and “DV” are its first two letters.

Currently, Jundiaí Airport operates approximately 20 flights per day. The majority of these flights are charter flights, providing services to various destinations in Brazil and abroad. The main airlines operating out of the airport are Gol Transportes Aéreos, Trip Linhas Aéreas and Azul Linhas Aéreas.

The airport also serves as a base for several private and recreational aviation activities, such as glider flights, scuba diving and paragliding. It also hosts a variety of other events throughout the year, such as air shows, aviation expositions and other cultural activities.
