Berry Aviation is a commercial and charter airline based in San Marcos, Texas, USA. Founded in 1983, the company has grown to become one of the largest and most respected aviation companies in the United States. The company is privately owned and operated by the Berry family.

The company began operations with a single air charter and air ambulance service, and has since expanded to include an extensive fleet of aircraft and a wide range of worldwide charter services. Berry Aviation operates over 200 flights each day and employs over 700 people.

The company’s earliest aircraft included the Cessna Citation II, Gulfstream IV and Learjet 45. In 1989, they added the Boeing 737-400 to their fleet, which helped the company to expand their charter services. The Boeing 737-400 was the first commercial aircraft in the fleet and was used for charter flights to the Caribbean, Mexico, and South America.

In 1996, the company purchased its first Boeing 737-800, which further expanded the company’s fleet and charter services. This plane was the first to feature a large cabin with seating for up to 180 passengers. Over the years, the company has added other Boeing aircraft, including the 737-700, 737-800, and 737-900.

In 2009, Berry Aviation was awarded the contract to provide air ambulance services to the US Air Force. This contract marked the first time that an airline had been awarded a contract with the US Air Force.

Berry Aviation has also been involved in several incidents. In 2006, the company was involved in a fatal crash that killed a pilot and two medical personnel onboard. The crash was found to be due to a mechanical failure. In 2015, the company was subject to a federal investigation into alleged price fixing practices. The investigation was later dropped without any charges being filed.
