Discover the History and Safety Record of Aeronaves TSM - Mexico's Leading Regional Airline

Aeronaves TSM (Transportes Aéreos de Sinaloa, S.A. de C.V.) is a Mexican airline that has been providing air transportation services since 1983. It is based in Culiacán, Sinaloa, and operates out of the General Rodolfo Sánchez Taboada International Airport. Aeronaves TSM has become one of the leading regional airlines in Mexico and is considered to be one of the safest in the world.

The company was founded in 1983 by Mr. Francisco Javier Sada, a businessman from Sinaloa, and it began operations with a single Cessna 310 aircraft, from the airport in Culiacán. Initially, it only provided air taxi services, but later expanded to offer scheduled air services, both domestic and international.

Aeronaves TSM has grown over the years, and now operates a fleet of over 30 aircraft. The airline has a mix of aircraft, including the Airbus A320, Boeing 737, and ATR 42-500. The airline has also added newer aircraft to its fleet, such as the Embraer E190 and ERJ-145.

The airline has achieved many milestones over the years, including the implementation of a new safety system in 2008. This system is based on the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and has been a key factor in the airline’s success.

In 2012, Aeronaves TSM became the first Mexican airline to receive the IATA Operational Safety Audit certificate of compliance. This certificate is an important safety milestone for the airline and has been a major factor in the airline’s success.

The airline also achieved another milestone in 2012 when it became the first Mexican airline to join the global Star Alliance network. This move allowed Aeronaves TSM to offer its customers more global travel options and increased its visibility in the aviation industry.

Aeronaves TSM has also been involved in some unfortunate incidents over the years. In 1997, one of the airline’s planes crashed into a mountain near the city of Durango, killing all 14 passengers and crew onboard. The cause of the crash was never determined.

In 2007, the airline was the subject of a federal investigation into allegations of illegal operations. The investigation was eventually closed without any charges being filed, but the incident was a reminder of the importance of safety and compliance in the aviation industry.

Aeronaves TSM has come a long way since its founding in 1983, and it is now one of the safest airlines in Mexico. It has achieved many milestones and continues to be a leader in the aviation industry. The airline is committed to providing its customers with safe and reliable air transportation services, and its commitment to safety and compliance has been key to its success.
